Iron on Instructions

Hot Tip

Run a test print on scrap material to ensure all your settings are correct for the best transfer possible.
Prepare

Set Temperature: Preheat the iron to the cotton setting (usually around 150-160°C or 300-320°F).

Hard Surface: Set the garment on a hard surface such as a countertop or sturdy table covered with a cloth.

Prepare your Garment: Lay out your garment flat on surface you have chosen. Smooth out any wrinkles and make sure the area where you will place the transfer is flat.

Position

Alignment: Place the DTF film with the printed side down onto the garment. Use a ruler or grid mat to ensure the print is aligned properly.

Cover Sheet: Place a Teflon sheet, parchment paper, or a piece of clean cloth over the DTF film to protect it during pressing.

Iron

Pressure: Press down firmly on the iron to ensure even pressure is applied.

Press Time: Hold the iron in place for 15-20 seconds on each section of the print. Do not move the iron around as this can cause the print to shift.

Coverage: Lift the iron and move it to the next section, slightly overlapping the previous area, and repeat the pressing process until the entire print has been covered.

Cool Down and Peel

Cooling: Allow the DTF film to cool completely before peeling it off the garment.

Peeling: Once cool, gently peel the film away from the garment, starting from one corner and pulling back slowly to avoid any smudging or incomplete transfer.

Iron Second Time

Re-Pressing: Place the Teflon sheet or parchment paper back over the design and give it an additional 5-10 second press with the iron.

Final Check: Inspect the print to ensure it has adhered properly and there are no defects.
